Full (individual who has received a doctorate related to Middle East studies and/or who has taught in Middle East studies and/or has made a scholarly contribution to the field)
Student (registered student interested in Middle East studies; proof of status is required)
Associate (individual interested in the study of the Middle East, not working in an academic occupation)
Retired (retired individual with 10 consecutive years MESA membership)
Joint (co-membership with another MESA member, usually a spouse or significant other, but open to anyone; though both are members, only one receives the publications; both may carry voting privileges if classified as full or student joint members)

ACLS Humanities E-Book Subscription	$35
ACLS Humanities E-Book (HEB) is a completely searchable online collection of over 1,700 books of high quality across the humanities, accessible through institutional and individual subscription. These are works of major importance—books that remain vital to both scholars and advanced students, and are frequently cited in the literature. HEB, which launched in September 2002, now adds approximately 500 books annually to the collection, as well as a carefully selected list of new XML titles that have the potential to use web-based technologies to communicate the results of scholarship in new ways. HEB currently includes over 150 titles in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean studies. (Read more). This individual subscription is at a special MESA member rate.
